Christy Lowry, entrepreneur, loving friend, recovering corporate working parent of three young children, in a dual career marriage, understands the need for fluidity in managing career aspirations, personal success, and family life. She found her love of coaching and helping others become and navigate parenthood when she, herself embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Through this, she's learned how and often achieved a harmonious life through intentionality, realistic expectations, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Christy perceives family and career not as competing forces, rather complementary aspects of a well-lived existence.
In her mission to support working parents, Christy has made significant contribution and furthered her focus by:
- Founding and expanding an employee resource group (ERG) within a prominent FinTech corporation in 2021,
- Gaining her FairPlay Method facilitator certification in 2021 and,
- Becoming a RETAIN Certified Parental Leave Coach in 2022, further focusing on parental leave and its impact.
Christy firmly believes that each individual and family requires a tailored approach to navigate the challenges of working parenthood. She offers her wealth of experience and education to expecting, new, and growing families, empowering them to craft their own unique stories, and supporting them to shift societal and generational legacy expectations. She is dedicated to walking alongside her clients, fostering their confidence and establishing a solid foundation where their families, identities and careers can flourish harmoniously.
She’s also in a season of learning how to navigate motherhood without her own mother. After losing her mother suddenly and traumatically when Christy was only 5 months postpartum with her third child, she has gained yet another transformational experience and perspective, understanding the fragility of life and how postpartum and postmortem seasons are oddly similar. Christy acknowledges and sees these experiences as learning opportunities and ways she can better help others through deeply understanding her own trials. In the coming months, she hopes she can further explore how grieving can encourage our parenthood identity transformation and possibly support those mothers navigating motherhood without their mother.
Christy lives with her husband of 10 years, Will, three kids Owen (6), Caroline (4) and Gabe (1) and her dog, Denali, in Monument, Colorado. She makes time to get outside daily regardless of the weather, enjoys learning watercolor painting, playing board games with her kids, skiing, snowshoeing, camping, weightlifting, hiking and sitting by any body of water with a refreshing beverage. She enjoys building communities where people can learn from each other and connecting others to resources that can help them improve their lives. Her coaching style balances providing solutions to her clients and helping them find their own route by being inquisitive.
Three of her grounding mantras are:
- You might not be where you want to be, but you’re further along than you were yesterday.
- While things may seem coincidental, they happen when you are ready to receive them.
- You are not less of an employee or person, your life and needs just look differently than they used to.
