I spent 20+ years working in Corporate America for tech companies including Microsoft, Tableau, and a consulting firm, Oxygen Learning. I had a variety of roles including technical program management, Chief Operating Officer, consultant, and Chief of Staff. With a rising and successful career, I was surprised to mindlessly become the default parent to our two children while working full-time.
When the pandemic hit, my children were 5 and 6. Remote learning was not something they could do independently. I left my corporate career in the Fall of 2020 to save my sanity and start fresh. The Fairplay method was a great way to make the invisible work visible and help us manage our household consciously.
I founded Vela Coaching in January 2021 with a desire to coach professional women. I created a Women’s Leadership program to help women reach their full potential by honing and amplifying their leadership skills. As a Fairplay facilitator, I believe that helping women lead and grow in their careers is only possible with a clear and conscious distribution of household responsibilities. I am excited to offer 1:1 coaching and workshops on the Fairplay Method in addition to my other leadership frameworks.
