Melissa Rector LaGraff received her PhD in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she studied how work and workplace policies influence parenting behaviors and family functioning. She was previously a County Director and Family & Consumer Sciences Agent with UT Extension. In this role, she taught and facilitated family life education programs for adult audiences. Melissa currently works as a program evaluator in the family science field. She hopes to combine her community education experience and expertise in the work and family field to help individuals, couples, and groups improve their family functioning through achieving more fairness in their division of household labor.
